About ICN

      

 

      The Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience, East China Normal University, was founded in 2008. The Institute is devoted to research in the area of cognitive neuroscience, empowered by integration of experimental/ theoretical approaches from multi-disciplines, including biology, psychology, mathematics, physics, chemistry, computational science and bioinformatics. The ultimate goal of the institute is to understand the neural mechanisms of perception, learning and memory, as well as brain disorders /diseases associated with deficits in cognitive functions.

      The institute currently has ten research laboratories, including Laboratory of Primate Cognitive Neurophysiology, Laboratory of Molecular Cognition, Laboratory of Pain Research, Laboratory of Visual Cognition and Virtual Reality, Laboratory of Language and Development, Laboratory of Economic Decision-making, Laboratory of Attention and Memory, Laboratory of Cognitive Neuroimaging, Laboratory of Medical Image Analysis and Computational Bioinformatics, and Laboratory of Neural Circuit.
